Oh My Ooooof

Some things, lately:

I love the weather right now and I love walking while listening to music and usually I don't care but sometimes I think that I would really hate to see anyone I know because I'm wearing gross stretch pants and dorky running sneaks. And also I used to think that my regular lifestyle & goals should just involve walking, biking, cartwheeling and the such so I shouldn't have to put on a "special" walking outfit, but now I DO. Because I live in the 'burbs and that's just what you do here.

So I've been working at an elementary school for the year and it's pretty cool and it seems to me waaay better than working in an office all day and I thought I found my calling n all that, but I think I am having one last temporary "eeeeep!" about being all growed up and realizing I never did all the things I wanted to do. But maybe there's still time and anyway, what do I really want to do that I still can't?

"Have you noticed I've never been impressed by your friends from New York and London" is the best line evaah (dude). Seriously. Look it up.

When it's warm, I get nostalgic. When it's cold, same.

On Mother's Day Jill and I went to get ice cream at Dairy Twist, this ice cream place outside our neighborhood. We were waiting and Jill said, "Oh don't you always see someone from high school here?" So we looked around and we didn't see anyone. But after waiting a while someone walked up from my class.

We decided that waiting in line for ice cream is kind of like waiting to buy drugs (not that we ever do that), everyone is nervously crossing and uncrossing their arms, mouths watering, deciding just how much they should actually get. They always play oldies at this place, and it's kind of the jump-off, if you live anywhere near Pembroke. Ice cream unites us! I ordered a kiddie sized (huge) chocolate and vanilla twist with chocolate sprinkles, but the barista gave me rainbow. I hate rainbow sprinkles.

I have a document saved on my desktop entitled "DON'T FORGET" and inside it says, "MICHELLE DON’T FORGET THAT YOU DON’T LIKE HOW YOU FEEL WHEN YOU DRINK." I am still trying to remember that. Cigarettes, however, are enjoying a heyday, if you will.
